Bossa Studios Announces Feline Dating Simulator ‘Purrfect Date’ (VIDEO)

From the publisher and developer of the Surgeon Simulator series, Decksplash, and I am Bread comes another of feline proportions titled Purrfect Date. Falling in line with the likes of Japanese otome games, titles like Dream Daddy, Hatoful Boyfriend, and smaller named titles such as Shark Dating Simulator XL and Panzermadels is hitting the gaming market with full-force.

It also helps that there’s a demographic to please whether you’re simply curious, trying it out just to poke fun, or genuinely want to experience what it’s like date cats that can communicate with you. As the motto goes: “Come for the p*ssy, stay for the tale.” Hey, at least that means there’s a good story in-bound. Need some catty visuals to go with that imagination? Check out the official announcement trailer in catchy song below:

Purrfect Date is a cross between a visual novel, dating sim, and dark British comedy. You, a human, will get to date cats and uncover the secrets of the mysterious Cat Island. Throughout the game’s seven chapters, you’ll adopt the roles of multiple freshly employed research assistants on an Island almost entirely populated by cats.

Choose your own adventure as you romance talking cats, balance your stats and carry out your research into the dark and questionable history of the Island. Drawing inspiration from trailblazing games such as Undertale, Dream Daddy, Hatoful Boyfriend, and Pony Island, there’ll be lots of twists, turns and alternate playthroughs to keep you replaying.”

As research assistants attempting to learn more about this mysterious island of cats, it’s the player’s job to woo the inhabitants with your charms. That’s not a bad deal at all if you’re into it! Feline lovers and curious folks looking to get a little taste of that kitty cat can expect a Winter release for Purrfect Date.
