Next PlayStation ‘State of Play’ Revealed, All-New Game Teased
As PlayStation doesn’t have anything currently lined up for E3 2019, the company has recently opted for alternative ways to get the word out about their most noteworthy goings-ons, namely the Nintendo Direct-like State of Play showcases. Having only debuted one edition so far, the second presentation has now been scheduled for later this week, the event notably touting a spiffy new game announcement.
Revealed via the PlayStation Blog, Sony unveiled their plans for the forthcoming showcase, the most specific highlight being “an extended look” at the previously revealed remake of classic PS1 title MediEvil. A number of additional reveals were also teased to take place, including the aforementioned newcomer as well as “other updates and announcements from upcoming PS4 games.”

One topic that was completely ruled out from the presentation was the company’s “next-generation plans,” leaving any possible new PlayStation 5 details off the table, at least for now. As this particular State of Play is only stated to have about 10 minutes worth of announcements, it’s likely Sony is hoping to keep this next presentation short and sweet. Those who want to catch the new livestream can do so on May 9th at 3PM PT via the official PlayStation , , , and accounts.
