With the April release date of Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire fast approaching for PC players, the next step for the beloved RPG experience is something that many gamers are looking forward to. With record-smashing success on the crowdfunding platform FIG, there are a lot of eyes on the next title.  Following the announcement that the highly anticipated game will also be making its way onto the Nintendo Switch, fans of the franchise are only seeing that excitement grow. Well, prepare – because if you weren’t hyped before, the trailer above is sure to fix that.

Skeletal bird-monster-gah-horrors, companion/ship customization, and original character from the first game ports – the latest trailer highlights it all. The incredibly ferocious monsters were a huge highlight in the first Pillars game, and it looks like that legacy is definitely set to carry into the new title as well. With dynamic weather, in-game romance, and tons of new features that players have been asking for – the May 8th release can’t get here soon enough!
