No Man’s Sky Joins Xbox Game Pass, Adds Cross-Play Soon

No man's sky cross-play crossplay

While No Man’s Sky didn’t enjoy the smoothest of launches, Hello Games has since gone on to forge a lovely community for the space-themed survivor title. Regular updates have only further fleshed out the planet-spanning adventure and it appears that even more players will be able to share in the interstellar fun soon. As covered recently by Prima Games, No Man’s Sky is preparing to join Xbox Game Pass very soon alongside the game’s introduction of cross-platform multiplayer.

Starting June 11th, Game Pass for PC and consoles will both feature No Man’s Sky in each platform’s subscription-based game roster giving many members the chance to play the game for the first time. While this would be enough to urge most fans to gas up their rocket ships, Hello also took this opportunity to confirm a fresh update scheduled to take place on the same day. Alongside the platform-uniting addition of cross-play, numerous features are set to officially go live including new accessibility options, full-body VR support, and various improvements to chat and matchmaking.

For those new to the realm of Game Pass, the Xbox service gives subscribers access to over 100 games on Xbox One as well as through a separate PC-focused service for Windows 10. For only $9.99 USD per month, a regularly-rotating slate of titles have graced the service in the years since going live and is set to continue through the next generation on the Xbox Series X. This astounding deal is made even more so by the prominence of Xbox exclusives, with all Microsoft-developed games confirmed to join the service at the moment of launch.

No Man’s Sky is currently available for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
