Nioh 2 Open Beta Announced, Scheduled To Begin Later This Year
Koei Tecmo Games has yet to announce an official release date for Nioh 2, though it appears that development on the title is moving along quite well. This year’s Tokyo Game Show saw a new trailer for the game as well as giving a lucky few a chance to play a bit of the upcoming Souls-like action RPG. Now, it appears even more fans are going to have a chance to experience Nioh 2 for themselves thanks to a newly announced open beta arriving later this year.
Developer Koei Tecmo Games recently announced via Twitter that Nioh 2 will be getting its first open beta period starting on November 1st and running through to November 10th. Said beta will reportedly feature a new, as yet unseen stage and Yokai for the participants to battle against. The reveal tweet can be seen below:

Nioh 2 has no set release date yet but it is expected to arrive sometime early next year as a PlayStation 4 exclusive. Sadly, while the first game was eventually ported to the PC platform, there hasn’t been any word as to whether or not Team Ninja hopes to do the same with the upcoming sequel.
