Next Microsoft Flight Simulator Update To Arrive This Week

Microsoft Flight Simulator has been out for 11 days now, and it has been nothing but absolutely impressive! Graphically, the game is incredibly stunning and it has been putting the simulator pilot’s computers to work. With such a graphically and processor demanding game, there are bound to be a bugs that sneak through the crack that were missed in the initial release now that many more players are jumping into the cockpit. Because of that, we know now that the next patch to the simulator will be arriving this week.

The upcoming patch will focus on the many performance issues that fans of the title have been experiencing. Additionally, attention will be also be brought to many other important aspects of the game like the UI and correcting certain items in the aircraft themselves. Major focal points will be on the physics in the game including items like aerodynamic bugs, general aviation issues, and weather issues.

Here are some of the highlights for the upcoming Microsoft Flight Simulator Patch #2, per the game’s website:

  • UI updates
  • Aerodynamic updates
  • Aircraft updates
  • Cockpit visuals and animation updates
  • General aviation system updates
  • General aviation avionic updated
  • Airliner system updates
  • Airliner avionic updates
  • Live Weather updates – (e.g. 225/3kt wind fixed, persistency fixed, etc.)
  • Upgraded multiplayer servers
  • Marketplace updates
  • Content Manager updates
  • Localization updates
  • Accessibility updates
  • Camera updates
  • Bush Trip updates (e.g. completion trigger fixed/Completionist achievement fixed)
  • World updates

The team behind Microsoft Flight Simulator also announced some of their main focal points for upcoming patches based on what the community voted as the top issues they are experiencing. Those issues include: 225/03 wind issue, general wind testing, inaccurate live weather and wind readings, auto pilot working in certain aircraft, engine logic issues, Air Traffic Control phraseology issues, and various issues related to missing items in certain aircraft. Additionally, they will bring focus to some performance issues, night time flying, and graphical issues related to weather conditions.
