New Jump Force Gameplay Shows Fan-Favorite Manga Characters Duking It Out (VIDEO)
Jump Force, the game brawler style game that put all the fan-favorite anime characters into one pot to duke it out for glory. The game was revealed in celebration of the Weekly Shonen Jump’s 50th anniversary with the goal to bring hyper-realistic interpretations of franchise characters with modern technology. Characters good and evil will fight head-to-head from series like Naruto, One Piece, Dragon Ball Z.
Though Spike Chunsoft and Bandai Namco have released several gameplay trailers highlighting various characters from the roster, below is a mash-up of epic clashes. Some familiar faces include Sasuke, Luffy, Zoro, Naruto, and Frieza. Check it out below:
This latest title from the gaming giant isn’t a plain old beat ’em up either. There’s a reason why all these characters have been thrown into a world that merges theirs with reality. Jump Force, as the game is also called, is an “alliance of the most powerful Manga heroes from Dragon Ball, One Piece, Naruto and much more”. It’s likely that they must confront evil that threatens reality itself. Probably.
Though shown during the E3 2018 showcase, Light Yagami and Ryuk from the respective Death Note series will only be making appearances in the game for story’s sake. Unfortunately, that means they won’t be playable characters. However, there will be others making their respective appearances down the road.
Jump Force doesn’t have a release date yet, but it expected to arrive sometime in 2019 for Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation 4. What do you think about the creation of another fighting game?
