New Final Fantasy 12 Trailers Highlight the Music From the Game’s Original Soundtrack

Final Fantasy 12 Trailers

With the remake’s arrival only two months away, Square Enix is pulling out all the stops to promote Final Fantasy 12: The Zodiac Age.  Just yesterday, the Japanese publisher released two new Final Fantasy 12 trailers on YouTube, both of which feature sample clips from the game’s original soundtrack, in order to hype up excitement for the game.  The sample clips come in the form of trailers, where scenes from the game play out to the background music from the game’s soundtrack.

The first trailer, which can be seen below, features main character Vaan and his childhood friend, Penelo.  A scene between the two plays out to the music of “Penelo’s Theme,” a light, bouncy theme song that alludes to her wish to one day become a dancer.  Both the characters and the environment look better than ever with the remake’s remastered graphics.  The second trailer, which can be seen below the first, has a heavier focus on gameplay, featuring Freya, Ashe and Vaan squaring off against the elemental boss, Firemane.  The trailer then jumps over to a fight scene between the party and several human enemies, and finally concludes with a clip featuring the dragon Tiamat.  The entire trailer is set to the game’s “Boss Battle” music, which is one more the more recognizable pieces from the game.

Square Enix is actually doing some cross-promoting with these new Final Fantasy 12 trailers.  Just one week after Final Fantasy 12: The Zodiac Age’s July 11, 2017 release date, the game’s original soundtrack will become available for purchase as well, with the above trailers serving as a reminder to fans of the game’s music.  The soundtrack comes as a Blu-ray disc, where fans will be able to listen to the music from the game while at the same time viewing HD remastered game videos, just like what was shown above.  The disc also comes with the MP3 files of the game’s soundtrack, which will allow for listening to the music without the videos.  The official release date for the game’s soundtrack is July 19, 2017.
