Never Fear- NES Classic Edition Will be Restocked for the Holidays!
The NES Classic Edition has launched today, and in good, old-fashioned Nintendo style, the system is selling like hotcakes! In fact, the demand for these adorable little systems is so high, stores across the country can’t keep them on the shelves. While this spells bad news for customers looking to play the good old classics this weekend, fear not. Nintendo has officially announced on Twitter that they will be restocking the Classics all throughout the holiday season and well into 2017.

After an announcement that took three whole Tweets to get out (hey, these are pressing matters, here!), it’s looking like Nintendo is already hard at work on Plan B to make sure their beloved customers get the system they so avidly are waiting for. Retailing at $59.99, the NES Classic Edition is a stupendous throwback to the very first Nintendo system, and comes stock with 30 classic Nintendo titles to appeal to the kid in all of us.
Aside from this shocking success story, Nintendo is also reaping the rewards of fan-excitement for the upcoming Nintendo Switch, due to release in March. Nintendo has made some pretty smart decisions, console-wise, but while the Switch is making waves and enticing the fans incessantly with his convertible functionality, it’s the Classic that is really exciting for the developers. Not only does it bring out the nostalgia of the older generation of gamers, but it gives the newest members of our gaming culture a chance to really get a feel of where it all started. It’s a wonderful bridge between the demographics, and we couldn’t be happier that Nintendo has had such awesome success with this tot-sized winner.
What do you think of this news? Do you think Nintendo has hit the jackpot with its newest console release? Will you be waiting eagerly for your chance to get a hold of this console for yourself? Give us a shout in the comments below, and game on!
