Netflix Original Film – Spectral Haunts the Web with a New Trailer (VIDEO)
Sci-fi films have always been an incredible genre to watch. The imagination it takes to come up with a working plot is indescribable, and it looks like the creative minds of the world have come up with another story that’s sure to take the internet by storm. Netflix has released a trailer for its upcoming film, Spectral, and it looks utterly incredible. Check out the trailer below to get excited for this web-based flick coming December 9th!
The film appears to be set in a futuristic European country. James Badge Dale stars in this flick as a man who fights alongside the military to bring down what can only be described as ghost/alien hybrids, and that thing shows absolutely no mercy. It goes to show that imagination really can’t be tamed, as the monstrous beings the military are fighting looks terrifying and the fight they experience, utterly visceral. The visuals in the trailer are incredible, drawing in the viewer with their simplistic, yet awe-inspiring mixture of practical effects and just the right amount of computer-generated dazzle. For a lower-budget film, Spectral looks like it is going to be a hit on Netflix, and we can’t wait to see how the plot works itself out.
Recently, Netflix also released a trailer for A Series of Unfortunate Events, set to release its 8-episode arc in January. While that show isn’t exactly erring on the side of supernatural, it still goes to show that Netflix is the new go-to source for some seriously entertaining content for viewers in the next couple months. Spectral is directed by Nic Mathieu, and aside from Badge Dale, also stars Emily Mortimer and Bruce Greenwood. Make sure you get that Netflix account if you want to check out this epic-looking flick for yourselves, because it’s the only way you’ll be able to get your hands on it when it releases next week!
