Minecraft Introduces Official Character Creator (VIDEO)
Despite the fact that players can customize their own skins in Minecraft, the choices are fairly limited to how far it can go. In the latest livestream by Mojang, however, it looks like the community will soon see an official character creator with plenty of options to choose from.
Available on Bedrock Beta on PC, Xbox One, and Android, Minecraft’s character creator tool allows players to tailor their own character’s looks. There are various skin colors and textures, hair styles, outfits and more with more than 100 items made available for free right from the start. Check out the livestream below for an intense coverage of its features:

Whether it’s the swamp monster aesthetic, a regular human being, or an undead pirate you’re going for – it’s all possible. Other options in the Minecraft character creator tool includes body size, facial hair, eyes, mouth, and a plethora of accessories to bling out your avatar. With the introduction of this in-game feature, custom skins will still be made available.
Unfortunately, classic skins can’t get imported into the character creator except for Steve and Alex, both of which are used as starting points. Once the beta concludes, other platforms like iOS and Nintendo Switch will see this feature made available. Here are a few example creations and screenshots of the tool:
