New Mass Effect: Andromeda Images and Details for Multiplayer Unveiled
It was unfortunate that the multiplayer beta test for the game was canceled, but it wasn’t without good news from the developing team. Producer Fernando Melo took to Twitter and unveiled a screenshot of the multiplayer character selection screen, showing us some surprising choices. Among the options are male Krogans, Asari, Salarian, a Turian, various humans of different classes, and a female Krogan. The latter choice was the most notable, given the history of the genophage in the Mass Effect trilogy. It’s not only refreshing, but it’s a positive sign of progress that has carried over. Since then, Melo has revealed 2 more Mass Effect: Andromeda images. Take a look at the images below:
Included in the array of photos is the one that started all the whoopla (left). In the middle is an image of a stealth class human male Infiltrator with the description: “Stealth expert who moves unnoticed around the battlefield with tech powers, then picks off enemies with well-placed shots.” The skills include sticky grenade, tactical cloak, and incinerate with a bonus stat of increased health regeneration. The third and final image is the appearance customization available to players with 5 different layers to choose from – Color Tint 1, 2, 3, Pattern Select, and Pattern Color.
Ultimately, the real question is whether or not ornaments and kits can be acquired, as asked a Twitter user. Why? Ornaments are why. The only attribute that is not changeable, at this time, are the facial features of the characters available which isn’t necessarily surprising. Prior to Andromeda, Mass Effect 3 did not allow for physical customization either.
In other Mass Effect: Andromeda news, did you know that Kumail Nanjiani is playing a major role in the game? Initially labeled as “space frog”, his character has been revealed to be a Salarian politician with a less than honorable personality. His name is Jarun Tann and he’s a power hungry son of a gun with relatively good intentions.
So, what do you think of the Andromeda images unveiled by Melo? Can you gather more details from it?
