Lost Ember Lets You Explore Ruins As A Wolf (VIDEO)

Lost Ember

After a successful Kickstarter campaign, Mooneye Studios is moving forward on their exploratory adventure game, Lost Ember. What sets this incredibly gorgeous game apart from others of the same genre is the ability to play as various animals within the in-game world. Primarily, players will find themselves exploring this vibrant world as a swift and graceful wolf, but will also fly as a bird and more. Check out the trailer below:

Explore the remains of a fallen world from fascinating perspectives! Slip into the role of different animals to uncover the fate of an ancient world. Dive into deep waters, fly at lofty heights, dig underground as a mole or even climb steep cliffs with a mountain goat, there are lots of ways of getting around.”

The basic premise of Lost Ember sends players into a world nature has reclaimed long after the fall of mankind. As a wolf, players will uncover the mysteries of long-lost civilizations by exploring the remaining ruins throughout the world. The wolf has been given the ability to “inhabit and control other animals” in order to explore areas that they normally wouldn’t be able to.

Currently, Lost Ember is available for pre-order for Steam (through the official website). Xbox One and PlayStation 4 releases are expected as well. No official launch date has been announced, but according to the latest Kickstarter update, the studio expects a Fall 2018 release. Two versions are available for pre-order: The Digital Game Edition ($20), which is just the game, and a Digital Plus Edition ($35), which includes the soundtrack and a digital art book. Furthermore, the title will also have VR support.
