Live Fire Mode Update for ‘Titanfall 2’ is Now Live, Introducing a Fast-Paced 6v6

Live Fire Mode

In January, Respawn Entertainment announced the anticipation of a new game mode called Live Fire. Since then, fans have been eagerly awaiting its arrival. Earlier this week, Community Manager Jayfresh gave players the down low with patch notes for the approaching update. The details included titan and weapon balances, bug fixes, new maps, new executions, better Holo pilot decoys and much more. The list was ridiculously long – full of both yays and nays, depending on who you’re asking, of course. Furthermore, an improved Mixtape Matchmaking makes a debut. The Live Fire Mode update is a “lightning fast 6v6 Pilot only” game that places an emphasis on a competitive atmosphere, implementing “round-based” player versus player and no respawns conditions. Oh, it’s also timed. Players have just 1 minute on the clock to eliminate the other team.

It’s fast, frantic, and sure to help hone those teamwork and mobility skills.”

Everyone will have the opportunity earn double the experience over the weekend, as well. This is only applicable for those participating in Live Fire. Additionally, new maps called ‘Meadow’ and ‘Stacks’ will be introduced for the game mode. “Meadow [is] a lush location with grassy lanes and rocky outcroppings that provide site lines for long engagements and sneaky routes for flanking,” reads the patch notes from Respawn. “Also zip lines are back!” On the other hand, the description of the latter map reads:

Stacks [is] an industrial location of open areas that sandwich a dense center point framed by towering structures. The verticality [sic] encourages attacks from above and rushes from the outside lanes.”

Titanfall 2’s Live Fire Mode went live February 23rd, 2017, and double experience gains will last until Monday, February 27th. Are you going to try it out for yourself?
