New Layers Of Fear 2 Trailer Revealed, "Time Waits For No One" (VIDEO)

It’s been a bit since we last heard from Friday the 13th publisher Gun Media and Bloober Team’s upcoming next project Layers Of Fear 2. Announced back in 2018’s spooky season of Halloween, the inaugural trailer set the scary scene for the incoming sequel, showing off the game’s Golden Age of Hollywood setting and teasing the horrors that await on players’ terrifying descent into madness.

A new trailer has now dropped, giving fans even more fright-filled footage ahead of the game’s tentative 2019 release. First and foremost we get several more peeks at the game’s ship-centered locale, starting off with simple enough scenery, and growing much more sinister as the trailer goes on. Overtop a spine-chilling narration by veteran horror actor Tony Todd, the creepy atmosphere of Layers Of Fear 2 is very much established, as is the foreboding message that “time waits for no one.” Check it out below.

In addition to the above trailer, Bloober Team also revealed a behind-the-scenes look at their upcoming game as well as how the new Layers of Fear installment will differ from the from the original. The first game’s emphasis on a “rich, multi-layered story” was confirmed to make a return, as were the signature claustrophobic scares that made the first Layers of Fear such a memorable experience. Keeping with the series’ theme of art, Layers of Fear 2 is also set to follow the film medium, specifically an actor, as their latest role leads them down a surreal path of self-discovery. Check out the full video below.

Bloober Team and Gun Media look to have quite the project on their hands with Layers of Fear 2. While we haven’t seen too much in terms of either scares or story, the project’s inspired premise nonetheless seems to be one worth getting excited about. Layers of Fear 2 is scheduled to release sometime in 2019.
