Bunch of New Content Shown in Update Video – Second Closed Beta for Lawbreakers Begins Soon

The second closed beta is almost here for LawBreakers and it comes with new goodies that were previously missing from the first test. The shooter comes from Cliff Bleszinki, the creator of Gears of War, and after a successful first beta, a second (also closed) shows off a little more of what the latest title has to offer.

The studio update seen in the above video features Bleszinski himself alongside Rohan Rivas, the Studio Communications Manager, as they talk about the adjustments they made thanks to fan feedback from the first beta. New character, new mode, new maps, and more are reflected in the second phase of beta testing.

New character:

  • Wraith – a “cyber-ninja” that has the mobility one would expect from this class
    • Wall jumping, triple jumps, and an exploding knife are just a few features in Wraith’s arena

New map:

  • Reactor

New mode:

  • Blitztball
    • Spectator mode also implemented among the changes

Kick decals are also available for every match completed as a badge of honor for participating in the beta. A few bug fixes were also included in the overhaul as well as other, smaller, changes to the gameplay experience. The duo stressed that the changes made were directly from fan feedback, that these beta tests are not “a marketing beta”, but a way to gauge what the fans want – the way a beta should be handled.

For Streamers, there is also good news for the second wave of testing – there is no NDA (Non-disclosure Agreement), so if you received an invite, feel free to show off those skills on your personal channel. It’s also not too late to sign up, if you haven’t already done so. You can check that out right here.

The beta itself will kick off on Thursday, May 18th at 9 AM PT and will continue on through the week until Sunday, May 21st ending at 21:00 PT.
