Hitman 3 Will Have Hitman 2 Compatibility By The End Of February

After it was revealed that Hitman 3 players on PC would need to repurchase Hitman 2 to import the levels, IO Interactive was sure to get on top of things and reverse that decision. That said, following the announcement that PC players would not need to buy the previous entry again, the devs have now confirmed that the solution should be rolled out by the end of the month.

In a recent update to the Known Issues post on the game’s forum, the team at IOI did indeed confirm that a solution has been found and that it is currently being tested. “Whilst we’ve been busy launching Hitman 3, we’ve also been working on the promised solution for allowing PC players to import locations that they already own into Hitman 3 on Epic,” reads the post. “We’ve got that solution worked out and it’s currently being tested and verified from all angles to make it as robust as possible.”

While they did not provide a ton of details about the exact solution, they did mention when players can expect it to arrive. “Even with the longest estimates we’ve looked at, the solution will be fully rolled out before the end of February,” reads the post. Luckily, that means there isn’t much time until it arrives, so Hitman 3 players on PC should be able to import Hitman 2’s levels within the next couple weeks.

Hitman 3 is currently available on Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and new-gen consoles. In other Hitman news, the content roadmap for February was recently revealed, which you can check out right here.
