God Of War Post-Story Content Teased By Game Director
God of War arrives in exactly two weeks time and the hype surrounding the Norse-lore adventure is undeniable as the launch draws near. We can’t exactly blame fans either as the beautiful amount of content featured in the game seems to warrant such a response. Fresh story, brutal combat, and a few surprises await players who head out on Kratos’ upcoming campaign, but it seems that will only be the beginning as plenty of God of War post-story content has also been teased.
As God of War nears, game director Cory Barlog has been everywhere lately sharing his intimate knowledge of the upcoming title. While his methods of doing so aren’t always the most revealing, they usually provide at least enough to keep the intrigue alive. Barlog utilized his entertaining way with words on Twitter recently, where in response to a question about whether any post-campaign content exists, the creative answered with a simple “yes”.
Yes.

Longtime fans of God of War would likely appreciate the inclusion of a challenge-based mode as nearly all of the series’ games have kept one around in one form or another. While platforming isn’t a focus for the upcoming PS4 title, potential challenges will likely center around the new game’s revamped combat between Kratos and his bow-wielding son Atreus. In past games, completing challenges were used to unlock new costumes, so here’s hoping we’ll get a father/son incarnation of the hilarious “Spud of War” look when God of War releases for PlayStation 4 on April 20th.
