Ghost Of Tsushima Pre-Load Now Available, Unlock Time Revealed
With Ghost of Tsushima just one week away from its official release date, fans looking forward to Sucker Punch’s open-world movie-esque samurai game are more than ready to step into the shoes of protagonist Jin and, well, become the Ghost of Tsushima. Now that we’re just one week away from release, the title is now available for pre-load on the PlayStation 4. So, here’s what you’ll need to know.
Those that have digitally pre-ordered Ghost of Tsushima through the PlayStation Store are now able to pre-load the game. To do so, one must head to Game Library and select the Ghost of Tsushima listing, with the UI then prompting the user to download the game. The title is currently about 35GB in size, though this size does not account for any patches once the game releases. In terms of when Ghost of Tsushima will be available to play, the game unlocks at midnight on June 17th. It will be unlocked via the PlayStation Store based on your local region, so, wherever you live, midnight’s the time you want to wait for.
So, what the heck is this Sushi Ghost stuff all about? Here’s the official description from Sony:
“In the late 13th century, the Mongol empire has laid waste to entire nations along their campaign to conquer the East. Tsushima Island is all that stands between mainland Japan and a massive Mongol invasion fleet led by the ruthless and cunning general, Khotun Khan. As the island burns in the wake of the first wave of the Mongol assault, samurai warrior Jin Sakai stands as one of the last surviving members of his clan. He is resolved to do whatever it takes, at any cost, to protect his people and reclaim his home. He must set aside the traditions that have shaped him as a warrior to forge a new path, the path of the Ghost, and wage an unconventional war for the freedom of Tsushima.”
Ghost of Tsushima is slated to release on July 17th.
