Get Ready to ‘Die Young’ in Upcoming Survival Horror Game [VIDEO]

Good news gamers! Soon, you’ll finally be able to realize your dreams of running from a bunch of psychopaths on a Mediterranean island! The survival horror game, Die Young, will soon be available for early access and your Texas Chainsaw Massacre fantasies will come to life.

Die Young is an open world, dynamic exploration-survival experience presented in first-person perspective.

In most survival horror games, there is some way to defend yourself against the oncoming hoards of murderous nut-jobs, but not in Die Young. After all, you’re just a little girl, all alone, with no combat skills to speak of.

Survival games have become a bit “copy and paste” with only small variations in the formula. Perhaps Die Young will be a welcome respite from the rinse and repeat crafting, building, dominate your surroundings formula that have become so familiar in the genre.

The game is set in a dazzling yet mysterious island in the Mediterranean Sea, inhabited by an enigmatic rural community. As a young girl, you find yourself trapped on this island, not knowing who kidnapped you and why. You manage to get out of the hole on the ground you’ve been left to starve in, but that’s just the beginning of your struggle to survive. The ultimate goal is to find a way to escape from the island, in which the astonishing beauty of the natural landscape hides deadly threats and foes. Your only weapons: your physical skills. Jump, run, climb and leave your enemies behind; hide and make them lose your tracks.Keeping your body hydrated and healthy is also an issue as you walk under the hot sun of summer. Explore the island and find out more about its suspicious dwellers, ancient ruins, dark mines and caves.

Die Young is the twisted creation of Indie Gala, and they are aiming to have the game on Steam early access some time this winter season. If you just can’t wait to get a look at what horrors are to come, you can check out the game’s official website.

Let us know in the comments section if you’ll be picking up Die Young in early access, or if you’ll be waiting for a full release. Stay with us at DFTG for more late breaking news on upcoming games for console and PC!
