New Final Fantasy VII Remake Screenshots Show Off Aerith’s Magical Prowess
With just a few months remaining until the release of the first part of the Final Fantasy VII Remake, developer Square Enix is turning up the heat by pumping out loads of new teasers and screenshots for fans to devour. Earlier this month, Square Enix showed off some new screenshots featuring the members of Shinra alongside a new character for the game, 3rd Class SOLDIER Roche. Now, the developer is turning towards the more magical side of things with a new batch of screenshots featuring Aerith.
Square Enix recently took to Twitter to release a few new screenshots of our beloved flower girl, Aerith. While the previous focus of Aerith has typically been how she looks now versus her initial character design, this time around we actually get to see her putting her foot down in battle and getting some work done with her magical abilities. Check out the screenshots below:

Aerith was for the most part a simple utility healer in the original game, though for the Final Fantasy VII Remake it appears that she’ll be bringing a bit more damage to the table in the form of a chargeable Tempest attack. Combine that with her ability to drain mana and cast magic shields and she’ll undoubtedly be a force to be reckoned with as Cloud and the rest of AVALANCHE battle their way through Midgar.
The Final Fantasy VII Remake is slated to release on March 3, 2020 exclusively for the PlayStation 4.
