Fallout 76: How To Join The Order Of Mysteries Faction
With Fallout 76 having officially been released, players around the globe are traveling to a digital West Virginia to become over-encumbered, full of radiation, and get into all sorts of shenanigans. That said, there are also a bounty of missions to take on and factions to encounter, one of which is the Order of Mysteries.
Coming across the Order of Mysteries isn’t as straight forward as the other factions in Fallout 76, but once you get going, it is relatively simple. For starters, you’ll want to head down to Charleston. More specifically, go to the AVR Medical Center. From the front door, go north until you reach an alleyway. Here, you will find the body of a “Young Woman,” from whom you will obtain an item called the “Worn Veil.”
After acquiring the Worn Veil, you will travel to the Riverside Manor. Be sure to stock up on ammo and healing goods before arriving, however, as there are plenty of Scorched waiting to take you down. Destroy them by any means necessary and locate the terminal that is on the upper floor. This is where you will find out that the manor was the home of Shannon Rivers. Fallout 4 players may remember her as the voice actress of the Mistress of Mystery, a character from the Silver Shroud radio show.
The time has come to put on the Worn Veil. Head downstairs to the parlor near the front of the manor and go to the screen in the corner of the room. Approaching it while wearing the veil will reveal a staircase. Super secret stuff. Go through the lasers and proceed into the bunker. Here, you will find the Cryptos Terminal, where you can register as an “Initiate” of the Order of Mysteries. Repair the Worn Veil at the Fabricator Terminal nearby and then select the “Database Queries” option on the Cryptos Terminal. This will initiate a quest to be completed in Lewisburg. After finishing that up and returning, you will begin the quest-line to join the faction.
After all this time, Rivers was the head of a secret society that was training women to be similar to the Mistress of Mystery. Funny how things work out, right? You can now make your way into the Order of Mysteries in Fallout 76 on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
