Divinity: Fallen Heroes Put On Hold For The Foreseeable Future

Divinity

Arriving as a follow up to Divinity: Original Sin II, Fallen Heroes was originally announced to be arriving later this year. Unfortunately, that no longer seems to be the case and the tactical game will now be postponed indefinitely until Larian Studios can find a way to make the project as the developers envision.

A recent post from Larian explains the delay and apologizes to the many fans who showed an immense amount of support for the upcoming title. The post states that the game will require far more resources than either Larian Studios or Logic Artists can bring to the table at the moment. The two studios have opted to instead shift their focuses to their own projects with Larian Studios working on Baldur’s Gate 3 while Logic Artists will be working on their own tactical series, Expeditions, as well as an entirely new IP. The post doesn’t indicate a time frame on when fans can expect to see the two companies get back together to continue on Divinity: Fallen Heroes but with any luck, the two will come back together after their immediate projects are finished.

It’s a little disappointing to see the upcoming tactical title get shelved for the time being, but at the very least the post did hint that Logic Artists and Larian Studios will be coming back to the project someday. Now it’s just a matter of how long will the wait be this time. Let us know your thoughts on the delay of Divinity: Fallen Heroes and more in the comments section below.
