Death Stranding Might Have Added Kumail Nanjiana To The Cast

Death Stranding Kumail Nanjiani

The mystery that surrounds every aspect of Hideo Kojima’s next game only seems to grow as each day passes. With gamers around the globe still recovering from the beautiful gameplay trailer that was shown during Sony’s conference at this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo, it’s difficult to remain completely calm. That said, one thing that is known about Death Stranding is that it features quite the star-studded cast.

Well, it looks like Kojima might have added yet another popular actor to the list. In a recent post to Instagram, Kumail Nanjiani shared a photo that shows him with markings all over his face. The dots and lines are likely linked to motion capture of some sorts, and while this could be for any number of projects, there is one detail that sticks out: Hideo Kojima liked the post.

Okay, that’s not a whole lot to go off of, but there is more. Well, not much, but something. Nanjiani has previously expressed his appreciation for Kojima’s past projects. In addition to this, the game director has also stated that more actors have yet to be revealed for the title.

We’ve already seen the likes of Norman Reedus, Mads Mikkelsen, Lindsay Wagner, and many more have been seen in previous trailers. It’s not impossible for Nanjiani to appear in the game, but until any sort of formal announcement is made, it’s best to keep a bounty of salt on standby. That said, it would certainly be fun to see what sort of role Nanjiani would play in the game.

Death Stranding has no release date as of now, but it is expected to arrive on PlayStation 4 when it launches. Keep it tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as this story develops, and for other gaming goodness going on right now, check out the following:
