Days Gone: New Crazy Taxi-Esque Game Mode Is Surprisingly Fun
Back in the early 2000s, players were graced with the highly entertaining Crazy Taxi, a game that saw gamers racing around a city as they carried passengers to their destinations within an allotted amount of time. While Days Gone does not seem like the kind of title to share anything in common with Crazy Taxi, a new game mode has arrived that takes the wild and wacky arcade nature of the score attack racing game and blends it with zombies and a wide-open world.
Dead Don’t Ride places players into a golf cart/taxi rather than Deacon’s motorcycle as they are asked to transport passengers from one place to another within an allotted time frame. Scores are based on how much time players have left on the clock, and how efficiently they can reach their destinations, and the overall happiness of the passengers. If they find themselves running low on time, it’s possible to ram zombies for additional time on the clock though it puts the passengers at risk of not being happy with the ride or dying in the process.
