Earlier today, there was a leak online by Amazon on accident that confirmed the swirling interest of a third Darksiders 3. Following the wide-spread leak that housed screenshots and in-game details, the company was quick to act and pushed forward their announcement by showing off their brand new reveal title for the upcoming title! The game itself was never officially confirmed prior to today, only vague interest told to the public by creative director Joe Madureira four years ago following Vigil Games’ closure. Since then, news has been on the dark side (see what we did there?) until now. Before the reveal trailer was launched, the retailer leak provided screenshots from the game as well as concept art. It also came with a game description telling fans that the protagonist will go by the name of Fury, a mage that has her hands full with both melee and magical abilities. Fury isn’t just any mage, however. She also houses the ability to shapeshift, and that furthers her skill set with an entirely new option of attacks and defenses.

Here’s what the official listing had to say, according to Amazon:

• Play as FURY – a mage who must rely on her whip and magic to restore the balance between good and evil on Earth!
• Harness FURY’s magic to unleash her various forms – each granting her access to new weapons, moves and traversal abilities
• Explore an open-ended, living, free-form game world in which FURY moves back and forth between environments to uncover secrets while advancing the story
• Defeat the Seven Deadly Sins and their servants who range from mystical creatures to degenerated beings
• Darksiders signature art style – expansive post-apocalyptic environments that take the player from the heights of heaven to the depths of hell, dilapidated by war and decay and overrun by nature

Darksiders 3 will be developed by Gunfire Games, which houses original Vigil Games members. Though there is only a placeholder date for December 2018, we do know from the listing that Darksiders 3 will be available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
