Cyberpunk 2077 Release Date Officially Delayed
One of the most highly anticipated games of the past decade has been the upcoming title from CD Projekt RED that is based on Cyberpunk 2020, the popular tabletop game. With a scheduled release date set for April, fans have been gearing up to jump into Night City and explore. That said, the devs have delivered the unfortunate news that Cyberpunk 2077 has officially been delayed.
The announcement arrived recently on social media to let fans know that the upcoming title has been pushed back a few months. Considering the fact that Cyberpunk 2077 has been on the minds of many for several years at this point, a few more months shouldn’t be much of a problem, even for the most devoted fans.

“We have important news regarding Cyberpunk 2077’s release date we’d like to share with you today,” the devs said in the post above. “Cyberpunk 2077 won’t make the April release window and we’re moving the launch date to September 17, 2020. We are currently at a stage where the game is complete and playable, but there’s still work to be done. Night City is massive – full of stories, content, and places to visit, but due to the sheer scale and complexity of it all, we need more time to finish playtesting, fixing, and polishing.
“We want Cyberpunk 2077 to be our crowning achievement for this generation and postponing launch will give us the precious months we need to make the game perfect. Expect more regular updates on progress as we get closer to the new release date. We’re really looking forward to seeing you in Night City, thank you for your ongoing support!”
Cyberpunk 2077 is now set to arrive on September 17th for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Keep it tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as this story develops, and for other gaming goodness going on right now, check out the following:
