Cyberpunk 2077 Devs Shooting For 2019 Release, But That Likely Isn’t Happening

Cyberpunk 2077 Release

One of the greater mysteries of the gaming world was recently uncovered when Kojima Productions officially announced the release date for Death Stranding. While that studio was able to have a rather quick turnaround with their new IP, CD Projekt RED is taking their time with Cyberpunk 2077. That said, recent rumors have been popping up about the launch date for the upcoming futuristic RPG, but it still seems that nobody knows when the game is actually coming.

Kotaku’s Jason Schreier recently stated that Cyberpunk 2077 is “absolutely not coming out this year.” Naturally, this led to many fans asking plenty of questions. Since then, however, Schreier has clarified his remarks, stepping back from the definitive answer he had previously given. “I’ve heard from three sources that Cyberpunk was aiming for 2019, but belief around the studio was that it was an unrealistic target,” he said.

Of course, nothing official regarding the Cyberpunk 2077 release date has been revealed by the developers. Well, it will arrive “when it’s ready,” but many are hoping to learn more at E3 next week when the game is on display. Either way, fans are still excited for the title, and they have expressed that they are happy to wait for what is to come.

Cyberpunk 2077 has no release date, but it is currently in development for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Keep it tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as this story develops, and for other gaming goodness going on right now, check out the following:
