Cyberpunk 2077 Prequel Content Featured In New Edition Of Cyberpunk 2020

Cyberpunk 2077 Cyberpunk 2020

Cyberpunk 2077 still has quite some time before it is officially released, but before the futuristic game from CD Projekt RED arrives, fans can dive into the original tabletop RPG at their leisure. In addition to this, a new edition of Cyberpunk 2020 will be popping up in the near future, and it will contain prequel content to Cyberpunk 2077.

The Cyberpunk Red Jumpstart Kit will be making its debut at this year’s GenCon on August 1st, and it will provide players with everything they need to get started in the world created by Mike Pondsmith. “The 4th Corporate War’s over and the big dogs have retreated to their corners to lick their wounds,” reads the description. “That leaves everyone else to fend for themselves in a shattered world. And that’s just fine. ‘cause you’ve got interface plugs in your wrists, metal in your limbs, and chips in your skull. You’re wired in, loaded with chrome, and ready to take it to the Edge.”

Here’s more on what Cyberpunk 2020 is all about, in case you have yet to dive in:

“The Corporations control the world from their skyscraper fortresses, enforcing their rule with armies of cyborg assassins. On the Street, Boostergangs roam a shattered urban wilderness, killing and looting. The rest of the world is a perpetual party, as fashion-model beautiful techies rub biosculpt jobs with battle armored roadwarriors in the hottest clubs, sleaziest bars and meanest streets this side of the Postholocaust. The Future never looked so bad.

“But you can change it. You’ve got interface plugs in your wrists, weapons in your arms, lasers in your eyes, bio-chip programs screaming in your brain. You’re wired in, cyberenhanced and solid state as you can take it to the fatal Edge where only the toughest and coolest can go. Because you’re CYBERPUNK.”

Cyberpunk 2020 is available now, Cyberpunk Red will be arriving on August 1st, and Cyberpunk 2077 will be launching on April 16, 2020 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
