Cyberpunk 2077’s Class System Will Let You “Hack Into People’s Brains,” Says Devs (VIDEO)

Cyberpunk 2077

Fans are still hyped from the magnificent Cyberpunk 2077 trailer that was shown during this year’s E3. With the sprawling city of diversity to explore, players will have certainly have no shortage of experiences to enjoy. That said, a handful of gameplay elements remain a mystery to some, especially those who were not able to witness the demo at the expo last month.

No need to fear, however, because we will surely continue to learn more now that CD Projekt Red has given everyone a solid look at the upcoming game. They wouldn’t disappear for another five years, would they? Either way, one member of the dev team recently spoke with ShackNews about Cyberpunk 2077. When it came to one interesting thing they would like to say about the game, level designer Max Pears talked about the “fluid class system” that will be featured in the title.

“We have this really cool class system, where we have things like Netrunner, Techie, and Solo, but what we do is we’ve got this fluid class system. Each of these is gonna have different abilities. So a Netrunner can hack into people’s brains,” Pears said. “In the demo, you see that we knock out a guard, and we hack into his brain, and this unlocks sort of different routes for the player.”

“Each class is gonna have some great abilities. So the fact that you’re going to be able to put your mix of these classes together to make your own cyberpunk, that’s gonna be awesome. We look forward to that,” he continued. We certainly look forward to that as well, Max. He also discussed the overall customization that is featured in Cyberpunk 2077 and what inspiration the upcoming title draws from the original Cyberpunk 2020.
