Cyberpunk 2077 Devs Releasing Two AAA Titles By 2021

Cyberpunk 2077 CDPR Witcher

Fans are counting down the days until this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo, where we see even more of the highyl-anticiapted Cyberpunk 2077. However, if a recent comment made by CD Projekt RED is any indication, there’s a good chance we’ll be seeing another big game from them at E3.

CD Projekt moderator Donata Popławska recently took to the company’s forums to field some fans’ questions. “As for the strategy of the CD PROJEKT Capital Group for the years 2016-2021, her plans for the release of the second AAA game until 2021 remain unchanged,” they said. “We are currently focusing on the production and promotion of Cyberpunk, so we do not want to comment on further projects.”

If we are to take CD Projekt CEO Adam Kiciński’s comments from last year into consideration, which we absolutely are because it is in regards to The Witcher, there’s a good chance the second AAA title that the studio is working on could be set in the realm from which the popular Geralt-based adventures come.

“The first three Witchers were by definition a trilogy, so we simply could not name the next game The Witcher 4,” Kiciński said. “This does not mean, of course, that we will leave the world of The Witcher, created by us for over a dozen years. The Witcher is one of two franchises on which to build in the future activities of the company. Today, unfortunately, I can not reveal anything more.”

It’s safe to say that the focus is currently on the development of Cyberpunk 2077, which has no concrete release date. However, at least we know it will likely arrive within the next two years. That’s always comforting. Here’s to hoping we learn exactly what CD Projekt RED is up to in the very near future.
