Borderlands: Game Of The Year Edition Might Be Coming To PlayStation 4, Xbox One

Borderlands ESRB

It has long been rumored that the first Borderlands would be making its way to the current generation of consoles, but nothing official has been stated from Gearbox. That said, a recent ESRB listing may have spilled the beans on a possible port to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

As can be seen on the website for the Entertainment Software Rating Board, the Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition has been spotted for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Of course, the game is already available on PC, but has been left off of the current gen consoles since they arrived. Even the Handsome Collection didn’t include the first title when it arrived in 2015. However, this listing might be the most solid piece of evidence yet. Take a look:

The listing hasn’t been taken down yet, so there is a strong chance that it isn’t a mistake on anyone’s part. Of course, there is always a chance that someone is just playing a cruel joke on all of us Borderlands fans who would love to play the first game on the current generation of consoles, but that is highly unlikely.

What is even more unfortunate about all of this is the fact that there is nothing that even mentions the Nintendo Switch in the listing. Gearbox is planning something big for this year’s PAX East, so we imagine if any of this is true, that is the place we’ll learn about it. Until then, however, we’ll just have to keep on speculating.
