Here’s How Borderlands 3 Changes Up The Loot System
While a handful of players may be busy complaining about Gearbox Software’s upcoming installment in the Borderlands franchise being exclusive to the Epic Games Store on PC for six months, fans are on the hunt for all of the information about the game that they can find. Luckily, a recent post on the PlayStation Blog has outlined a few glorious details about Borderlands 3, including how the loot system has been changed for the next adventure.
This time around, players won’t be forced to fight over loot like they have in previous entries. Instead, you’ll be able to choose your own loot stream. However, should you wish to bring back the old settings, that will also be available in the game’s options.
No more fighting for loot in Borderlands 3. We can now choose to have our own personal loot stream if we want. One of my favorite things we announced today. Can still play the classic way, too.

Of course, the details didn’t stop there, as we also learned a bit more about the Calypso Twins, the new baddies in town. “You may have also noticed a couple villains in the trailer – you know, the ones with the hair,” the blog post reads. “Those are the Calypso Twins, who are uniting the bandit clans and attempting to get their hands on the galaxy’s ultimate power capable of destroying, well… everything. Only you and your Vault Hunter allies will have the unique abilities, uncommonly deep skill trees, and seemingly never-ending arsenal of guns and gadgets to stop them.”
Borderlands 3 is set to arrive on September 13th for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Keep it tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as this story develops, and for other gaming goodness going on right now, check out the following:
