Both District 9 Creator Neill Blomkamp and Respawn CEO Are Down for a Chappie Pathfinder Skin

Apex Legends Chappie

Apex Legends has seemingly begun its movement to take over the gaming world. With surpassing 25 million players in its first week alone, the free-to-play battle royale title is showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon. That said, fans have recently expressed their desire to have Chappie in the game, and it looks like they are not alone.

For those who don’t know, Chappie is the robot gangster number one from the 2015 film of the same name, and players really want a Pathfinder skin in Apex Legends that brings the character to the game. However, as stated above, they are not alone. Not only has Neill Blomkamp himself said that he is down for it, but Respawn Entertainment CEO Vince Zampella has also stated as much.

So, now that both Chappie’s and Apex Legends’ creators want the skin in the game, when is it going to happen? Well, that information is currently unknown, but we at least know that there is interest on the development side of things, and that has to count for something, right?

Of course, none of this is guaranteed, but with Blomkamp recently directing that amazing Anthem trailer, we imagine he and EA are on good terms. That could be useful when the time comes to put Chappie in Apex Legends. Only time will tell.

Apex Legends is currently available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Keep it tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as this story develops, and for other gaming goodness going on right now, check out the following:

What say you, gamers? Would you love to see a Chappie Pathfinder skin added to Apex Legends? What other wonderful robots would make a great addition to the team? My vote is for Bender.
