In less than a month away, fans of first-person shooters will have another joy to behold in Battlefield V. Hosting a wide array of maps new and old, game modes, progression, weapons, gear and more – there’s going to be a whole lot to love and to critique. In the most recent blog post from EA DICE and Criterion, the developers have provided prying eyes on their plans as the rest of this year progresses into the next. There are plenty of wondrous content in store with some not so grand news as well.

Easily one of the most highly-anticipated features of Battlefield V, it looks as though their battle royale won’t make it on launch day. Rather, the developers have the mode’s debut set for March of 2019. Other than that, not much else in terms of details are revealed. With that said, there’s plenty of content in store before Firestorm’s appearance.

From December into January, players will experience the first chapter of Battlefield V titled ‘Overture’ with The Last Tiger war story, a Practice Range game mode, new vehicle cosmetics, and a “Tank Battle Belgium” location. Between January and March, the second chapter commences in ‘Lightning Strikes’ with brand new missions, and two multiplayer modes. Last but not least, chapter 3: ‘Trial by Fire’ begins in March.
