EA Play had a lot of surprises yesterday. With the announcement of two new IPs, a cinematic story mode in Madden 18, and all of the Battlefront 2 coverage, it may have felt like nothing at the presentation could have topped all that. Battlefield streamer MugsTV had something else in mind, however.

In the video above, taken from the live stream at EA Play, MugsTV ushered out a battle pack with the help of two friends. Presenting the pack to his girlfriend and fellow Battlefield streamer OoLaLa87, MugTV opened up about their relationship. OoLa at first seemed unsure about what was going to unfold as Mugs continued to speak and it didn’t dawn on her until he opened the box, unveiling a ring.

The couple met through Twitch and, according to Mugs, has had a wonderful relationship so far. While at the event the Battlefield streamer set up the proposal and surprised his girlfriend at the end of the presentation. Needless to say, when he opened the battle pack and asked her to marry him, she said yes!

The Battlefield streamer proposal followed a lengthy presentation by EA in which new games were featured, and new features were presented for already expected titles. Big things are coming from EA this year and fans are getting excited. You can check out our coverage of the press conference here.

With all of the stress involved with being an industry presence at a convention, especially one as large as E3, it is nice to see something like this happen in the middle of it.
