Atari Hotel Official Concept Art Features Major Cyberpunk Feels (VIDEO)
Earlier this year, GSD Group and company announced their plans to open up Atari-themed hotels across the United States, including locations in Las Vegas, Nevada and Phoenix, Arizona. Their plans have been hush-hush since the initial reveal, but there’s new concept art to gander at. To be fair, they’re giving us major Cyberpunk feels. According to the most recent Atari Hotels blog, GSD Group hired renown architecture and design firm Gensler to create these gorgeous sneak peeks. Check out the video and following concept art gallery below:
In the future, GSD Group Partners plan on opening Atari hotels in cities such as Seattle, Washington, Austin, Texas, Chicago, Illinois, Denver, Colorado, as well as San Francisco and San Jose, California. Hotels will feature amenities and entertainment for a variety of guests with themes inspired by a balanced fusion of “retro-futurism, pop culture, and nostalgia.”
According to Atari Hotels’ official website, “Atari Hotels perfectly blends the past, present, and future of video games and entertainment for a destination that offers guests a one-of-a-kind hospitality experience, complete with state-of-the-art amenities for esports fans and content creators. Guests can enjoy the latest in video games, experience cutting-edge immersive entertainment, purchase exclusive Atari Hotels merchandise, and play the night away in retro-style gaming arcades. A speakeasy and fully equipped nightclub will be available for adult guests, as well as themed restaurants and bars. Atari Hotels delightfully plays with the themes of retro-futurism, pop culture, and nostalgia — offering fun for the whole family.”
The concept art for the Atari hotels look phenomenal. I can see these hotels being a hub for future entertainers, content creators, gamers, and cyberpunk enthusiasts. GSD Group’s executives and stakeholders are eager to share updates with the gaming community as their plans progress.
Atari CEO, Fred Chesnais, is equally enthused. “I have seen the vision that GSD Group has for Atari Hotels, and they are poised to shatter the perception of what hotels can be,” Chesnais mentioned in a press release. “Atari Hotels will create a world that caters to gamers of all ages and experience levels, giving them a place to call home — a groundbreaking experience that shares Atari’s legacy of innovation.”
