Ash Ketchum Finally Wins His First Pokemon League Championship

Ash Ketchum Pokemon League Champion

After 22 years (relative to the viewers), aspiring Pokemon Master Ash Ketchum has finally won a Pokemon League championship. The protagonist of the Pokemon anime series has been bested time and time again in various regional Pokemon League championships. Since the show began in 1997, Ash Ketchum – true to his character – never gave up despite a number of heartbreaking defeats throughout the years.  However, it should be noted that after 22 years of anime Ash Ketchum is still 10 years old in the series.

Ash Ketchum Pokemon League Championship

The Pokemon anime series has over 1,000 episodes, many of which featuring Ash’s overarching goal of trying to prove he has what it takes to be a Pokemon master. He traveled across the known Pokemon world to achieve his objective. In Episode 139 of Pokemon Sun and Moon, Ash finally did it. He became the very best like no one ever was after his victory in the Alolan Pokemon League Championship. Ash Ketchum is now a Pokemon Master.

The timing seems bittersweet, though, as it was recently announced that the next season of Pokemon would effectively be rebooting the anime series. There’s been some marketing that’s released so far, none of which have actually featured Ash. It’ll be interesting to see what comes next.

How many games have you won the Pokemon League Championship in? Where will the show go from here now that Ash has basically accomplished his life’s goal? What’s with that goofy looking animation style? I don’t remember Ash looking like that. Let us know in the comments below. Stay tuned for more gaming and entertainment new on Don’t Feed The Gamers.
