New Evil Dead Game Teased Again By Bruce Campbell

The horrific Evil Dead series is one that spans a number of different media, notably covering likes of films, tv shows, and comics. While fans have enjoyed groovy new entries over all these mediums in recent years, it’s been a while since Ash Williams has taken out evil with his trusty boomstick in video game form. With a previously hinted outing on the horizon and the character’s appearances in live-action currently considered finished, it’s been unknown when we’d see actor Bruce Campbell back for a final Evil Dead game.

However, it now appears we can expect to see this new title to arrive relatively soon, at least according to “GroovyBruce” himself. When asked on Twitter whether a proposed Evil Dead game was still on the way, Campbell responded with a simple and effective “yes.”

Sure, his confirmation is hardly the most revealing, but it’s likely a relief to know the project is still happening in the face of zero official information released so far. It’s also unsurprising the Ash actor has remained tight-lipped on the subject, having stopped short of detailing the “immersive” adaptation the last time he spoke about it.

In all likelihood, the new Evil Dead game is probably still in the throes of development, with little currently ready to show off for the public. While it’s unknown what kind of game this project may turn out to be, we can surely speculate in the meantime. The inclusion of Bruce Campbell’s unmistakable voice and the aforementioned focus on immersion may suggest a truly big experience is on the way for Evil Dead fans. One thing we can be sure of is that Bruce Campbell probably won’t be playing it himself.
