Gears of War Creator Ditches Games, Heading to Broadway Next
Cliff Bleszinski has had himself quite the year. After shutting down Boss Key Studios following the downfall of Lawbreakers and the last-ditch effort that was Radical Heights, the Gears of War creator decided he was done with video games for good.
That said, many have been wondering what is next for Bleszinski. Thankfully, he has taken to Twitter to officially announce what is on the agenda, and it may not be what most were expecting. In the post below, Bleszinski reveals that he is heading to Broadway to co-produce the show Hadestown.
NEWS!
I’m officially co-producing this show.
That’s my next gig!
(Crazy, eh?!)
It’s on Spotify, give it a go. It’s fantastic! https://t.co/Ew7Tr1QsHA

He’s right. It is on Spotify and it is fantastic. That is, you know, if musical theater is your cup of tea. Naturally, being an avid user of Twitter and all-around internet-goer, Bleszinski followed up with tweets that said “Gaming news gonna be like WTF” and “I can’t get it out of my head lol.” However, the overwhelming majority of fans have shown nothing but support and praise for the Gears of War creator as he begins his Broadway journey.
Of all the directions you could’ve gone, that’s the one I wouldn’t have predicted. Hope it works out, Cliff
