Dragon Ball FighterZ Provides First Look At Next DLC Characters

Dragon Ball FighterZ

It’s been over a month since Bandai Namco revealed anything regarding the popular Dragon Ball FighterZ, last detailing the hero-battling game’s release on the Nintendo Switch. With several DLC fighters still left to be unveiled, fans have been patiently waiting for an update while other exciting Dragon Ball news arrived to the airways in the meantime. It seems the wait is over as the game goes st to deliver base form Goku and a Saiyan-armored Vegeta into the FighterZ roster.

From the looks of the official screenshots seen below, it’s as though both heroes’ retain their classic move sets from the early episodes of Dragon Ball Z, with Goku unleashing his strength-enhancing Kaio-Ken attack and Vegeta showcasing his original villainous attitude. We also get an in-game look at the two’s ultimate attacks; Goku’s energy-absorbing Spirit Bomb and Vegeta’s explosive signature Galick Gun.

It’s currently unknown when players will be able to utilize these new additions in battle, but its expected that August presents a strong possibility of release. That would leave plenty of time for hype to build and debut a proper DLC trailer to drop, as Bandai Namco tend to do. Of course, we’ll only know for sure after the slow passage of time. Dragon Ball FighterZ is now available for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The Nintendo Switch version launches on September 28th.

What do you think? Are you excited that we’ll get to play as original versions of Goku and Vegeta, or should there have been different characters chosen for the new Dragon Ball FighterZ DLC?
