The team behind “The Super Live” Sailor Moon live-action musical have revealed the first teaser trailer, showing off the gorgeous style and effects invested into its production! From bright LED displays that correspond to each sailor senshi and the adorable, sparkly accents on everyone’s outfit. The brief video shows off the main leading ladies – Sailor Moon, Mars, Venus, Jupiter, and Mercury – in all their “pretty guardian” glory. The live-action show features elaborate dance, musical performances, and age-appropriate fight scenes for family fun and action. Check it out below:

The “Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon The Super Live” musical is based on the original manga series created by Naoko Takeuchi as seen in the outfits designed for the stage. The program will be hosted in various stages at locations in France and Japan. From November 3rd to the 4th, it will take place in Paris, France at the Palais des Congrès de Paris as part Japonismes 2018. This months-long celebration also honors the long-standing and 160-years old diplomatic relationship between both countries, joining both country’s efforts in creative and collaborative events.

Of course, there will be shows in Japan as well. There will be separate performances held in Tokyo at the AiiA 2.5 Theater from August 31st until September 9th. Each ticket will set attendees back 5,800 yen, but this show won’t be around for long. So, if you’re in the area, make sure to purchase those tickets before they sell out as the sale begins on August 5th!
