Square Enix E3 2018, Fans Are Not Happy With The Avengers Game No-Show

Square Enix E3 2018

If you were able to take a bathroom break to watch the entirety of the Square Enix E3 2018 presentation, you might want that time back. Fans are not happy with the company at this point in time, but only because their showcase didn’t really, well… show anything. Sure, there were trailers, but the overwhelming majority of them had already been seen before today. That said, the ansence of a few notable projects has really stirred up the internet.

We knew there was going to be Kingdom Hearts III present, but it was the same footage shown yesterday at E3 2018. It was pretty clear that Just Cause 4 would get a bit of that spotlight, which it did, but not nearly enough. However, where was the highly-anticipated Final Fantasy VII Remake? Did the Avengers game get lost on the way to the conference?

Fans are not happy, and they are speaking up on Twitter about it as we speak. Here are some of the best reactions:

Of course, we all know how well Electronic Arts did during their presentation on Saturday. In fact, many have already called it the worst conference in E3 history. That didn’t slow Square Enix down one bit, but it did probably make them say “Hold our Keyblade”.

Some, however, have not entirely lost hope. There is still a chance that both the Avengers game and the Final Fantasy VII Remake can make an appearance at Sony’s presentation later tonight. It might be a long shot, but it’s really all we have left to hold onto. Beyond that, who knows when we’ll see more on these games.

It’s certainly disappointing when a company gives fans hope for something, but then doesn’t deliver. If we don’t see the Avengers or FFVII Remake during Sony’s conference, we imagine Twitter will have something more to say.
