Fortnite Accuracy Issue To Be Addressed In Upcoming Update (VIDEO)

Fortnite Accuracy

An ever increasing amount of fans have been enjoying Fortnite, but the game is not without flaws. Players have noticed that there seems to be an issue with the accuracy in the game. One of these fans submitted a GIF to the Epic Games team via the games battle royale subreddit.  The team addressed the Fortnite accuracy issue witnessed in the player’s submission and stated they will be addressing the issue in the next patch. Take a look at the bug below:

As seen in the GIF, the player clearly lines up the shot and it completely misses. The developers at Epic Games reviewed it and agreed that there was definelty something going on here:

Thanks for posting this. There were three separate issues that (when combined) cause this to happen. I just checked in a fix and it should no longer happen after the next update. Sorry about that :-(“

Other players on the subreddit continued to get some details from the team on what exactly the issues witnessed were and what would be addressed. The following items are what they believe is causing the issue:

  • It is supposed to have first-shot accuracy when aiming. That value was not set correctly (this is the biggest issue). So now it will be enabled.
  • The accuracy reticle UI does not match the actual accuracy of the gun (it shows slightly more accurate). This will be adjusted to match.
  • Because of the last issue, the aiming accuracy value was set to lower than it should’ve been. So aiming will also be more accurate in the cases where you don’t have first-shot accuracy.

The team did state however that these issues could not be corrected in a simple hotfix to the game. It would need to be addressed in a full patch. The release date and version players will see these changes have not been announced at this time.
