The next Transformers movie is coming in June of 2017 and we have a sneak peak at the behind the scenes of what it takes to create such an epic experience. Transformers: The Last Knight is the 5th movie of the series and will be the last to be directed by Michael Bay. This will be the direct sequel to Age of Extinction.

The video starts by showing clips of some action from the movie. You see Bumblebee attacking what appears to be Doublecross, a Driller destroying buildings, and the very humanoid looking Crosshairs shooting down some jets mid-air.

Transformers and Imax have been partnered for 10 years now and according to Greg Foster, the CEO of Imax, this partnership has gained more traction with every movie. Michael Bay says, “Imax gives me the tools, to give you the best cinema experience in the world.” Foster says that the Transformer movies helped to build the ‘go big’ brand because Michael Bay is constantly pushing them to do bigger and better:

“He’s pushed us for the 3D to be more seamless. He’s constantly trying to surge the film making experience.”

Transformers: The Last Knight will be shot all in Imax 3D and according to Lorne Orleans, Senior VP at Imax. Michael Bay is the first film maker to take two cameras and configure them on a 3D rig in order to shoot 3D in real time. This video promises that this Transformers movie’s resolution, detail, and clarity will make this the best experience you’ll see all year. Check it out!
