A New RPG From Square Enix, Lost Sphear, for the Nintendo Switch, PS4, and PC Announced (VIDEO)
Square Enix announced that the developers behind ‘I Am Setsuna’, Tokyo RPG Factory, are coming out with a new RPG for fans to enjoy and from the looks of it, it has a fantastic throwback feel for veteran gamers. With the announcement comes a new trailer to see what lies within the world of Lost Sphear, take a look at the video below to check it out:
Lost Sphear is reminiscent of titles past with its 16-bit inspiration and pensive narrative. Stepping into the shoes of Kanata, a young boy thrust into the position of finding out why the world around him is disappearing and to help prevent the end from coming. With the isometric viewpoint, the story’s progressional pace, and the battle system showcased in the trailer, Lost Sphear has familiar elements with a new plot twist for fans of Tokyo RPG Factory to delve into for their next adventure.
As an ominous power threatens the fabric of reality, a young man chosen by destiny must arise to face a phenomenon never seen before. Enter Kanata, as he awakens from a devastating dream leading him to find his home, erased from existence. Awaken the power of Memory to restore the Lost and rebuild the world!
This latest RPG has no plans for a wide-spread physical release as of yet, but a limited quantity of the game itself will be available through the store. As for the easily accessible version of the game itself, the digital version for the PS4, PC, and Nintendo Switch will be available sometime “early 2018”, according to the publisher. If you want your hands on the limited edition physical copy, it will retail at $49.99 and come with two additional songs on its track list.
