Blizzard Designer Thinks Bringing Hearthstone to Nintendo Switch is a “Discussion Worth Having”
Hearthstone‘s Principal Game Designer Mike Donais said in a recent interview that porting the title to the Nintendo Switch is definitely a “discussion worth having.” Although, the Blizzard designer admits that his job description does not include deciding which platforms the game will or will not be ported to and his primary focus is on card design. At the moment, Blizzard has announced no plans to bring Hearthstone to the latest Nintendo console, but with the Switch‘s success, it is always possible that they could change their minds and Donais seems to agree.
The Blizzard designer also brings up that Hearthstone in available on phones and iPads, which leads us to the point that the Nintendo Switch also has a touch screen. This means that it probably wouldn’t be a difficult transition. Unfortunately, there is also the fact that Blizzard has refused to launch the card game on ANY console despite the popularity of the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
Players will just have to wait and see if their Hearthstone dreams will come true, so until then, keep your fingers crossed. You can get the free-to-play Hearthstone game right now on PC or Android and iOS devices. Speaking of Blizzard games, it looks like they are gearing up to begin teasing players about the 25th Overwatch hero. Will Doomfist finally see the light of day? We can only hope.
