Command & Conquer Remastered Release Date, Collector’s Editions Revealed (VIDEO)

Command & Conquer Remastered Collection

For months now, EA and Petroglyph Games have been underway on a total remastering of the original Command & Conquer games touting updated visuals, modernized controls, and even a lacking availability of microtransactions. Even more noteworthy have proven to be the game’s updates, which kept the RTS community informed of each of the new features and developments all along the way. Upon receiving the latest update regarding the game’s upscaled cinematics, it appears that Command & Conquer Remastered Collection is now finally readying for release.

As revealed in a new trailer, Command & Conquer Remastered Collection is set to release for PC on June 5th – the package including the original Tiberian Dawn, Red Alert, as well as its three additional expansions: Covert Ops, Counterstrike and The Aftermath. Developed by many of the game’s original personnel, the compilation touts more than a few enhancements such as 4K resolution, renewed multiplayer support, bonus behind-the-scenes material, and an electrifying remastered soundtrack from original series composer Frank Klepacki. Check out the new trailer below.

“Our team has been working hand-in-hand with the C&C community since day one and we hope this transparent dialogue will result in the Command & Conquer Remastered Collection being a love letter to our fans,” EA Producer Jim Vessella said in a press release. “We’re taking the classic gameplay that ushered in a new era of the RTS genre and adding the most fan requested features like Skirmish mode for Tiberian Dawn, quality of life control improvements, and full Steam integration with UGC support. For me personally, having been a C&C fan since I was 12 years old in 1995, working with the original Westwood Studios team members at Petroglyph has been a dream come true.”

Alongside the release of Command & Conquer Remastered Collection is a duo of physical Collector’s Editions that some fans may want to get their hands on.
