Aksys Games Officially Announces Zero Escape: Zero Time Dilemma Coming to PS4

What first started off as a leak from Amazon, when an unannounced listing of the game was made visible on the website, has now been officially confirmed by the publisher themselves. Aksys Games confirmed this via their Twitter account very recently, stating that the title will be making its way to North America this Fall in both digital and physical format. Originally listed on the online retailer was a release date of August 18th which may still ring true. However, Zero Time Dilemma is being officially declared for Fall 2017.

It seems that the “rumors” and information leak may have caught them off guard based on the Tweet. In the likely scenario of Amazon posting Zero Time Dilemma too early, Aksys Games did a fantastic job of taking this in stride. However, it can be just as likely that this was entirely planned and gave the publisher an opportunity to announce it. Either way, it’s fantastic news.

For those curious about Zero Time Dilemma, it is an adventure game with a dark little twist much like the other installments in the franchise. Akin to the Saws movie series where participants are locked or chained up in rooms and must escape by any means necessary, 9 individuals must participate in a series of riddles, puzzles, and decision making in order to escape alive. That could mean sacrificing others through poisoning or dismemberment, but the choice is entirely up to the player.

Zero Time Dilemma is the third entry in the acclaimed Zero Escape series. The mysterious “Zero” traps 9 participants within an underground shelter, dividing them equally between 3 wards that are connected to an elevator shaft in the middle. The only way out – passing through a locked X-Door to access the elevator.

Six passwords are required to unlock the door, and each password is revealed only after a participant dies. Zero’s “Decision Game” will offer teams the opportunity to kill other participants through a variety of means to obtain the necessary passwords so they may escape.
