Xbox Game Pass Adds 9 New Games, Free Spotify Premium Trial
The cross-platform selection of Xbox Game Pass is once again getting another round of titles, with Xbox unveiling the next upcoming picks coming to console, PC, and streaming versions of the game subscription service. As per a new Xbox Wire post, nine titles are set to arrive over the next few weeks, with highlights including Rockstar’s open-world western Red Dead Online, Double Fine’s peculiar platformer Psychonauts, and Square Enix’s HD remaster of Final Fantasy X/X-2.
Appearing this week, vibrant sandbox Dragon Quest Builders 2 becomes available on May 4th, with survival-horror sequel Outlast 2 and winter sports title Steep dropping on May 6th. The following week, May 13th sees the aforementioned Red Dead Online, Psychonauts, and Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster hit the service alongside the DLC-filled Just Cause 4: Reloaded and the creature-slaying action-RPG Remnant: From the Ashes.

As a bonus perk, this month also gives members of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate rewarded with a free four-month trial to Spotify Premium, allowing new users ad-free music streaming for the freebie’s duration. This offer is similar to past perks made available on the platform which gave away premium limited trials for Disney Plus and Funimation, both of which have since ended. If these previous perks are any indication, Spotify Premium will likely only be up for grabs for a limited time as well.
On the subject of departures, Xbox Game Pass is also saying goodbye to six games before the end of the month. May 15th sees the likes of Remedy’s Alan Wake disappear alongside space RTS Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2, colorful dungeon crawler Dungeon of the Endless, Square Enix RPG Final Fantasy IX, pixelated shooter Hotline Miami, and turn-based strategy title Plebby Quest: The Crusades. A full rundown of all the next games coming and leaving Game Pass can be viewed below.
